Introducing...The Toot Sweets!

My friend Sarah and I started a band because I wanted to start making band posters. We are The Toot Sweets. She plays the ukulele and I play the recorder. We can play one mean rendition of "Buffalo Gals". I made these t-shirts yesterday for Sarah's birthday. I think they are pretty fun. If anyone needs a band to play one song or a designer to design lots of band posters, I would be happy to help you.

Springtime in the Rockies
I was working on a logo and thought I would try my hand at making some custom type. It turned out way too cute for what I was working on (as is shown by the words "Rocky Mountain") so I thought I'd post it here.

Doctor/Patient: September 2008 MSL
This was a really fun project where I got to draw this wheel, make it in Illustrator, then print it out and send it to have photos taken of the wheel with the needle spinning. The story is about online health quizzes and how to tell what information is helpful.

Cool, Creamy Delights: July 2008 MSL
One of my first projects while working at MSLO this year was making this type look like it was melting. Fun, except this article looked so delicious that every day all I wanted to do was eat the Brownie, Peanut Butter, and Ice Cream Sandwiches on the page next to it.

Close To The Bone: October 2008 MSL
This is a type treatment I created by combining Fette Fractur and Surveyor. I really like how it turned out and think it would also make a great tattoo font. Below are samples of some alternative type treatments I tried for the story.
