Martha Stewart 4th of July invite

Under the direction of Eric Pike, I designed this 4th of July invitation that was in the July 2009 issue of Martha Stewart Living Magazine. I finally took the time to scan it. I think it turned out real cute.

Amanda + Jared

A custom wedding announcement I made for Amanda and Jared. They requested a "whimsical oak tree". So I drew one. And calligraphied the rest. Congrats A + J!

Dough It Yourself

This is a logo I've been working on for a frozen cookie dough company called "Dough it Yourself." I posted it on Typophile to get some critiques and the consensus seems to be that everyone loves the dough version best (with a new photograph and a few changes). I'm glad, because I do too. What does everyone else think?

suppose quilt boutique fliers

My friend Jo is opening a new quilt shop in Preston Idaho and I was lucky enough to get to make their invitations and fliers. I used their logo and company font (Helvetica Neue) with some of my calligraphy and sewed a line on the sewing machine. They were lots of fun to make. Thanks Jo! handwriting samples

I am doing a freelance job where they are using my regular writing for "calligraphy." Best job ever. I wanted to post some samples but couldn't think of what I would write so I scanned some of the dates from my journal. I erased what I wrote for that day, not because it is personal, but to protect my pride (my journal writing isn't as intellectual as you might think. Here is a small sample: "Today my stomach LITERALLY talked to me").
