Uncommon Goods email

I illustrated this Stocking Stuffers 101 email for Uncommon Goods. It is really fun to get to work with people that like the way I draw and write. Thanks Gaby!

for me, for you

I read this blog called For Me, For You and while I was painting my kitten ornaments I painted one that looked like her cat Wendy and sent it to her. She blogged about me today. Thanks Kate!

Beehive Bazaar

I set up my booth last night for the Beehive Bazaar! Then I ran to get that sweet skirt hanger from Sam and when I got back the place was so packed I couldn't stand far enough away from my booth to get a good picture. This was the best one (except for that girl that looked right at the camera). I could not believe how many people were there. I'm sharing a booth with Camille Anderson and her fuzzy stockings you can see were a BIG hit. There is a lot of great stuff there. It is open today from 10-10 and tomorrow from 10-8:30. Hope to see you there!

Another Etsy Update

All of these items are on etsy and will also be available at the Beehive Bazaar on December 3-5. I am pretty excited/nervous about it. Let me know what you think!

Holga try #2

After my first roll of Holga film I read something that made me think I was rolling the film wrong. Turns out I was doing it right the first time and now I have two rolls of film that I wound incorrectly. I was mad at first, but they are growing on me. Most of these are from Yellowstone National Park.

Aveda Remessaging Banners

Aveda had me make these ads that will show up if you abandon your cart or leave the site.

"Christmas Cards with a Cause"

This is card #1 in my Christmas card series this year. The theme is "Christmas Cards with a Cause." This poor snowman melted his lungs out smoking that pipe. Stay tuned for more in the series.

Jessica

I really love our new house. This is one of my roommates.

Martha Stewart 4th of July invite

Under the direction of Eric Pike, I designed this 4th of July invitation that was in the July 2009 issue of Martha Stewart Living Magazine. I finally took the time to scan it. I think it turned out real cute.

Batter UP!

This hand-embroidered shirt is now on my etsy site. I love corn dogs and I love softball. This shirt is the perfect combo. This little hot dog is really excited for his turn in the batter.

Amanda + Jared

A custom wedding announcement I made for Amanda and Jared. They requested a "whimsical oak tree". So I drew one. And calligraphied the rest. Congrats A + J!

Introducing...The Toot Sweets!

My friend Sarah and I started a band because I wanted to start making band posters. We are The Toot Sweets. She plays the ukulele and I play the recorder. We can play one mean rendition of "Buffalo Gals". I made these t-shirts yesterday for Sarah's birthday. I think they are pretty fun. If anyone needs a band to play one song or a designer to design lots of band posters, I would be happy to help you.

Bee Icons

I did my part to help legalize bee keeping in NYC by making these icons for my friend Amy who is making their new website. Do your part signing the petition to help them reach the goal of 10,000 by Pollinator Week!

Dough It Yourself

This is a logo I've been working on for a frozen cookie dough company called "Dough it Yourself." I posted it on Typophile to get some critiques and the consensus seems to be that everyone loves the dough version best (with a new photograph and a few changes). I'm glad, because I do too. What does everyone else think?

Christmas at Martha's: December 2008 MSL

I worked with Eric Pike to lay out this story for Martha's Christmas Party.

Springtime in the Rockies

I was working on a logo and thought I would try my hand at making some custom type. It turned out way too cute for what I was working on (as is shown by the words "Rocky Mountain") so I thought I'd post it here.

suppose quilt boutique fliers

My friend Jo is opening a new quilt shop in Preston Idaho and I was lucky enough to get to make their invitations and fliers. I used their logo and company font (Helvetica Neue) with some of my calligraphy and sewed a line on the sewing machine. They were lots of fun to make. Thanks Jo! Visit their shop at supposecreatedelight.com.

Doctor/Patient: September 2008 MSL

This was a really fun project where I got to draw this wheel, make it in Illustrator, then print it out and send it to have photos taken of the wheel with the needle spinning. The story is about online health quizzes and how to tell what information is helpful.

Cool, Creamy Delights: July 2008 MSL

One of my first projects while working at MSLO this year was making this type look like it was melting. Fun, except this article looked so delicious that every day all I wanted to do was eat the Brownie, Peanut Butter, and Ice Cream Sandwiches on the page next to it.

Close To The Bone: October 2008 MSL

This is a type treatment I created by combining Fette Fractur and Surveyor. I really like how it turned out and think it would also make a great tattoo font. Below are samples of some alternative type treatments I tried for the story.
